Quite a commercial place to get saltfish and other tourist snacks. On occasion, you may find a busload of tourist. The staffs are very helpful with a sales pitch, offering samples for some products and asking you what you want if you look lost. One amusing statement they mentioned to a tourist “you come all the way to Kuantan, get something to bring home” Well, if you come in a bus, chances are, the saltfish will stink all the way home and fellow busmates will smell the same.

Remakes: On the way west, a good place for last minute saltfish shopping. Prices are reasonable, not too touristy prices. Can find some rare ingredients as well.
