Location?
Q: What does the location mean? I can’t read this gibberish!
A: These are GPS locations. You can get a GPS Reciever to hunt for the place.
Q: If I do not have a GPS Reciever, what can I do?
A: Make friend with someone who does. Or you can go to MalSingMaps.com to download a map and get a reader/viewer such as Mapedit to view.
Q: Why don’t you give the street address?
A: Because street addresses are useless unless you are a postman. Some places are stalls with no address. GPS provides fairly good accuracy to locate a stall.
Q: Why are pictures sometimes crapy?
A: I don’t carry my Canon 350D everywhere. I resort to camera phone or a compact camera most of the time. Waving my SLR around creates too much attention. I look like a reporter waving my gears around or an investigator.
Q: What gear do you use?
A: For GPS Receiver, I use a Garmin Legend. For camera, where possible, a Canon 350D.
Q: How do I recommend a place?
A: email me at wjthor[at]gmail.com with location and what to look for, what to have and best time to visit. If possible, a mug shot of the owner-cook. I am constantly on the look-out for good places by word of mouth.
